Silvia Ruiz

I was born and raised in beautiful Costa Rica, the place where my story and my passion for mental wellness began. Since I was a kid, I faced my own struggles with anxiety and depression, and although back then I didn't have much help, that experience lit a spark in me, leading me down the path of psychology during my college days. That's when my life experiences, the theory and my own psychotherapy process helped me discover the healing power of talking, listening, and genuine support—the kind I once longed for.

In 2015, I proudly graduated from Universidad Nacional of Costa Rica and became a licensed psychologist. I then started my career in the corporate world, focused in Human Resources, while continuing my specialization in psychotherapy and adding other certifications to strengthen my skills and knowledge to serve my future patients.

In 2021, with the encouragement of a dear friend and colleague, I finally embraced my calling and began my practice as a therapist. Soon after, my professional life took a turn, leading me to split my time between Costa Rica and Orange County, California. During this transformative period, my desire to help others on their journey to well-being only grew stronger. I became a certified Master Life Coach, expanding my ability to impact lives and help people find their "Shanti"—their peace.

My goal is simple: to help you find the calm, the strength, and the joy in your life that we all deserve. In doing so, I not only fulfill my own purpose, but also help you find yours.
